Do you run Facebook Ads? Are you trying to launch your new Facebook ad campaign? Some people are very excited to launch their first Facebook ad campaign but after a few days, the excitement will be replaced by disappointment.

People are expecting success to work overnight but that is not a reality. You must understand the process well, so you will not get frustrated with the results.

FACEBOOK ADVERTISING TIPS TO TRY

1. Clean up your brand – make everything professional and avoid adding unprofessional things to your brand. Create a strategy that can adapt to the change happening in your industry.

Example: Examine your brand and keep the things that are working. If necessary renew your vision and content strategy. To stay competitive in the global market.

2. Choose the right objective – considering the goals of your business is important in order to choose the right objective. The most important thing about running an advertisement is allocating the budget properly with the right ads.

3 Categories To Follow:

So basically, if you run an awareness type of ad, your ad will be shown to more people at less budget; whereas if you run conversion type of ads your ads will be shown to qualified people who are likely to convert and your expenses for a result will be higher. The first strategy is if you are not a completely new brand you can start running conversion campaigns straight away. The second strategy is to run the traffic campaign and try to convert them. When you run traffic campaigns your cost per impression is low so you can reach out to more people with the same budget.

In the beginning, the Facebook algorithm wouldn’t have an idea of what you’re trying to do. It’s gonna take a few days. So depending on how people are reacting to your ad Facebook algorithm will define your target audience.

Try to run the brand awareness campaign first…After you run that campaign successfully, you can target the people who have viewed your video and run the conversion ad campaign.

If you are a completely new brand. You can get lots of likes with the low budget but your audience won’t be relevant and it will be a cold audience. You cannot expect the same result with a hundred dollars per day ad and a thousand dollars per day ad of course.

3. Optimize your audience –  It’s likely that Facebook algorithms can predict more accurately. Define your audience by factors like location, age, gender, interest and behavior, and what language they speak. When you’re defining your target don’t forget to exclude your competitors and people who are likely to spy on your ads. Check your audience size… in most of the cases, your size should not be more than 500k and should not be less than 100k.

4. Place your Ad correctly – That means Facebook is going to show your advertisement to all of their platforms. You don’t want to do that. If you display your ad everywhere without knowing where your target audience is you might not get the optimized result.

5. Invest your time in ad designs In the beginning, it’s very hard to come up with very good ad design, you have to learn so many things. But after you get good at it, it’s gonna payback.

For image designing I recommend Canva. It’s very easy to use for beginners and there are lots of templates to choose from. that you can reuse and you don’t have to worry about the sizes of the templates it’s already.

Software and Applications To Be Used

For video editing, if you are a beginner, I suggest Filmora byWondershare or Camtasia In Camtasia, you can record your screen as well. I personally like the Adobe suite. They can do advanced jobs, but there is a longer learning curve… like Photoshop and illustrator for images and graphic design; and Premiere Pro and After Effects for video editing.

When you are using images and videos always use the standard size and the guideline. Do not include anything unethical or inappropriate on your ads because it’s likely that you will be banned.

Optimize your images not just for the look but also for the loading time. Do not use low-quality images and videos, use the professional ones. If possible, avoid using free stock images because they are overused. Do not put too much text in your videos and in your images. There is a rule that you cannot use more than 20% of the screen for your text.

Copywriting or Proofreading

Now let’s talk about copywriting, the text you use on your ad is called copy or the ad copy. I suggest if your product is low-end use a short copy. Let them take the quick action or if you have the service at a higher price or if you have a high ticket service you can use the long copy.

Share a quick story here, there was a guy who claimed that he made millions from just one ad. I was very curious to see his ad so I joined the course.

The whole course was about that particular ad and when I actually saw the ad that was like it had a very long ad copy and it was impressive. Especially it was like… it would make people very curious till the end of his ad copy. But I was really surprised by the image he used. It was just a random unicorn image. I would have never used that image for my ad.

It didn’t look professional to me and it didn’t look relevant to me but for him, he says it worked and he says he made lots of money.

Not all the strategies used by someone also work for you so better study what strategies you will use that will work perfectly for you.

6. Use the right call to action when you are a beginner you have to choose your ad format, then you have to choose your media meaning your image, your video, or the set of images, then you have to put your headline and description. So depending on what kind of Ad you are doing choose the right call to action.

Whether you grab information within Facebook or outside Facebook they both work. It’s not that one way is better than the other but the design and optimization have to be proper.

7. Split testing – But if you don’t get the best result on the first ad, the idea is you need to do split testing. Remember that when you do split testing. It doesn’t just change things randomly. For each ad to decide whether it’s working or not you need to let it run for at least a few days.

Then if you want to do split testing with the image keep everything else as it is and just change the images. Or if you want to do split testing with the text keep everything else as it is and just change the text.

You need to spend some time and researching before you launch your next ad campaign. I hope you liked my tips.
